This Privacy Policy explains how ORT collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use this site, and our services, including but not limited to, any tools, apps, forums, event or course registration pages, electronic publications, newsletters, announcements, contest entries and/or donations online or by mail.

What Information We Collect and How We Use It

Online and offline, donors may be asked to provide their name, email address, postal address, interests, and other information. ORT only collects personal information upon your voluntary provision of this information. Such instances include, but are not limited to entry of your email address into our “Join Our Mailing List” subscription form(s) and, entry of your name, address, and credit card information in our online donation forms. All email subscription information is handled by Constant Contact Inc.. All credit card information entered for donation purposes on our website is processed by DonorPerfect Payment who ensure all transactions are handled with absolute security. The information collected enables the proper processing of donations. The entry of this information, along with your validation of the confirmation prompt, function as your consent for making the payment(s) indicated. If you provide your postal address, telephone number or e-mail address to ORT Canada, you may receive periodic communications from us. We may request, but will not store, sensitive information, such as credit card numbers.

Internet Protocol Address

We may monitor traffic patterns, site usage and related site information in order to optimize our web site information and service or product offerings. ORT may track your visit in order to compile statistical information about the use of our Web site. We collect an IP address from all visitors to our website, to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our website, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

ORT will never rent, trade or sell your e-mail address. Email Communications

Information you provide for subscription to our email list is used to keep you notified of our ongoing activities, opportunities for you to help the organization and other relevant updates. In keeping with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the entry of this information functions as your consent for receiving the types of notifications listed. ORT sends an e-newsletter and periodic direct email communications to ORT site visitors to highlight news, information and opportunities available from ORT Canada. All ORT e-newsletters have easy-to-follow unsubscribe instructions. If at any time you wish to be removed from our email list, please click the “unsubscribe” link or button at the bottom of any of our subscription emails. Security

All information provided to ORT is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our website that is only accessible by certain qualified employees of ORT.
